How to Play
Everything in Meliora, explained โ the numbers below are read live from the game's actual configuration, so this page is always accurate.
๐ด Getting started
Meliora lives in your Discord server. As people chat, card drops appear automatically
(every ~15 messages by default) โ three cards with grab buttons, first come first served. You can also
wish with /pull in Discord or right here on the Wish page โ a wish
rolls 3 cards and you pick one, and the faster you pick, the higher its Swiftness (under 0.5s = S).
You can also buy an instant extra drop with /drop.
Every copy of a character is unique: it has a short code (like K7M2XA) you use in
commands, and a version number โ the 4th copy of a character ever minted is v4, forever.
Low versions (v1โv9) are the rarest flex in the game.
Start with /daily (resets midnight PST), grab drops fast, and check /help in Discord any time.
๐ฐ The three currencies
| Currency | Earn it from | Spend it on |
|---|---|---|
| ๐๏ธ Tickets | /daily (+5), battle wins (+2), clan war seasons | Wishes (1), extra drops (2), founding clans (25) |
| โจ Stardust | Burning cards, battles, /daily (+200) | Repairs, condition upgrades, training |
| ๐ Gems | /daily (+1), top-3 clan war placements | Frames, banners, and dye rolls in /shop |
The loop: Tickets acquire cards, Stardust maintains them, Gems beautify them.
Duplicate cards aren't dead weight โ /burn them into Stardust (rarer + better condition = more dust;
morphs pay 3ร).
๐ Rarities & versions
Five rarity tiers decide how often a character appears and its combat baseline:
| Rarity | Drop rate | Base power |
|---|---|---|
| C Common | 60% | 60 |
| R Rare | 28% | 72 |
| SR Super Rare | 8% | 86 |
| SSR Super Super Rare | 3% | 102 |
| UR Ultra Rare | 1% | 120 |
A character can exist at several rarities at once โ each rarity is its own card, with its own art and its own independent version numbers. The version number belongs to your specific copy and feeds the Vanity grade: v1โ9 = S, v10โ99 = A, v100โ499 = B, v500โ999 = C, v1000+ = F.
Every character card links back to its source โ the character's bio and its series page on
MyAnimeList / AniList โ shown on /view, /cardinfo, /lookup, and the
card & character pages here on the site.
โญ Conditions & upgrading
Every card rolls a condition the moment it's claimed โ it never changes on its own:
| Condition | Roll chance |
|---|---|
| โโโโ Damaged | 10% |
| โ โโโ Poor | 20% |
| โ โ โโ Good | 40% |
| โ โ โ โ Excellent | 20% |
| โ โ โ โ Mint | 10% |
Condition drives the Purity grade (Mint = S โฆ Damaged = F). You can raise it one tier at a time
with /upgrade (or the โจ Upgrade button on the card's web page): โจ 250 to reach poor, 500 to reach good, 1500 to reach excellent, 4000 to reach mint.
๐ Stats: the five grades
Cards don't have fixed stats โ they're computed from five graded modifiers (S/A/B/C/F), so how you got a card matters as much as which card:
| Grade | Determined by |
|---|---|
| Vanity | Version number โ lower is better |
| Purity | Condition rolled at claim |
| Swiftness | How fast you claimed the card โ grabbing a drop or picking a wish. Under 0.5s = S, then <2s = A, <5s = B, <15s = C, else F |
| Wellness | S when healthy, F when injured (0% durability) โ injured cards can't battle |
| Style | Cosmetics: dye = C, frame = B, frame + dye = A, โญ premium frame + dye = S |
These combine with the rarity baseline into Power, split into โ๏ธ ATK, โค๏ธ HP, and ๐จ SPD. A mint v1 UR grabbed in two seconds is a monster; a damaged v1500 common grabbed late isโฆ a pet.
โ๏ธ Battles
/battle @user card:CODE challenges someone to a duel. They accept and pick their own card
via a popup, then the fight simulates automatically: the faster card strikes first, hits vary, crits land at 12%.
Prefer the browser? The Battle page does the same thing asynchronously โ challenge anyone by Discord ID, they accept whenever they're free (no need to both be online), and the challenge expires after 60 minutes unanswered if nobody responds. Same engine, same rewards, same durability cost either way.
The winner earns ๐๏ธ 2 + โจ 150 (loser gets โจ 75), and both cards lose durability (winner โ8, loser โ15). There's a 30-minute cooldown between battles.
Durability is Karuta-style wear: worn cards fight below their peak, and at 0% the card is ๐ค
injured โ benched until you /repair it (โจ 5 per point).
๐๏ธ Ranked matchmaking
/ranked join card:CODE (or the Ranked page) plays a ranked match
instantly โ no waiting for a live opponent. The moment you queue, you're matched against a
snapshot of a similar-rank player who has also queued this season, and the battle resolves right
away. The first time you queue each season you're added to that season's pool, so from then on you
can be someone else's opponent too. No durability wear: ranked stakes are your rating, not repair bills.
A win pays ๐๏ธ 1.
Only your rating changes when you play โ the snapshot you fought is frozen (their rating moves when they play). Under the hood a hidden MMR (Elo-style) tracks how good we think you are; new players are calibrating for their first 10 matches and move between tiers faster.
Your visible tier is relative to everyone else and self-adjusting: the cutoffs are
re-learned from the whole season's ratings so the distribution stays roughly
๐ Master top 1% ยท ๐ Diamond top 10% ยท ๐ท Platinum top 20% ยท ๐ก Gold top 50% ยท โช Silver top 70% ยท
๐ค Bronze top 90%, with the bottom ~10% ๐ Unranked. So climbing a tier means genuinely
passing other players, not just hitting a fixed number. The matchmaker also self-tunes its search width
and rating volatility (K-factor) from how one-sided recent matches have been. See your tier with
/rank.
Seasons: the ladder runs in seasons with rewards paid automatically at the end โ everyone who
played enough matches gets a reward for their final tier, and top ladder placements earn stacking
bonuses (see the current season's payout table on the Ranked page). Between seasons
ratings soften back toward the middle, records reset, and the pool starts fresh, so every season is a new
climb. /ranked history (or the web ladder) shows anyone's recent matches.
๐ฎ Training & levels
/train card:CODE levels a card up to Lv10 through skill minigames.
Each attempt costs โจ 100 ร current level, paid up front โ win the game to level up,
lose and the fee is gone. Both the cost and the difficulty scale with level.
Games include the Memory Trial (memorize an emoji sequence โ longer and faster at high levels) and Quick Draw (strike within a shrinking reaction window). Different characters can have different minigames โ Neon Ronin cards, for example, always train with Quick Draw.
Levels add Power and scale ATK hard: a maxed card hits roughly twice as hard as Lv1.
๐ Morphs
Every mint has a 3% chance to roll a morph: a permanent, random recolor of the entire card โ a hue shift, sometimes with an abnormality: Black & White, Inverted, Sepia, or Vivid.
The recolor applies to everything โ art, badges, even applied frames. Morphs are announced with a ๐ callout when pulled or grabbed, marked ๐ everywhere, and burn for 3ร dust. Collectors keep them; pragmatists cash them in.
๐ผ๏ธ Frames, dyes & Style
Frames are ๐-bought items (/shop frames, /frame buy/apply/remove, or the
Cosmetics page).
A frame replaces the card's rarity border with its own look, moves freely between your cards, and returns
to your inventory if the card is traded or burned.
| Frame | Price | |
|---|---|---|
| Starlight Veil | ๐ 25 | A shimmering border of captured starlight. |
| Sakura Bloom | ๐ 25 | Petals drift eternally around your card. |
| Neon Circuit | ๐ 35 | Straight out of the Neon Ronin underworld. |
| Ember Crown | ๐ 35 | Smolders with the Ember Court's blessing. |
| Abyssal Tide | ๐ 45 | Deep currents from the Abyssal Chorus. |
| Void Whisper | ๐ 45 | The Voidwalkers left this one behind. |
| Royal Gilded โญ | ๐ 60 | Hand-leafed gold for serious collectors. |
| Celestial Halo โญ | ๐ 80 | The rarest frame under the stars. |
Dyes are Karuta-style: you don't pick a color, you roll a random one with
/dye buy (๐ 3 Gems each). Every dye is unique โ a random color and
pattern (solid, gradient, stripes, speckle, glow, or dual) โ and there's a 1-in-100 chance of a
โฆ mystic dye, a rare holographic one-of-a-kind. Roll them, then /dye apply to paint a card
(and /dye inventory to see your unused ones). A dye travels with its card when traded.
Cosmetics feed the Style grade โ a โญ premium frame plus a dye hits Style S for a real power bonus.
๐ชช Profiles & banners
/profile renders your profile card: your equipped banner, avatar, currencies, clan,
and your best card as a showcase. You can see yours on the Collection page too.
Banners are ๐ cosmetics (Sakura Skies, Neon Nights, Abyssal Depths, Ember Throne, Void Dream, Celestial Dawn) โ buy with /banner buy (auto-equips) and switch any time with /banner equip.
๐ฏ Clans & war seasons
Found a clan for ๐๏ธ 25 (/clan create) or join one
(/clan join) โ in Discord or on the Clans page. Every /battle duel earns war points for your clan: +10
for a win, +2 for a loss. (Ranked matches don't count โ those stake your rating instead.)
War runs in 7-day seasons. When a season ends, the top clans are recorded in
history and every member of the top three is paid:
๐ฅ ๐๏ธ 30 + ๐ 20 ยท ๐ฅ ๐๏ธ 15 + ๐ 10 ยท ๐ฅ ๐๏ธ 8 + ๐ 5.
Then all scores reset and the next season begins. Check standings with /clan war.
๐ Flexible trading
/trade with:@user (or the Trade page on the web) opens an interactive
offer you both build together. Each side can add any number of cards, Tickets,
Stardust, Gems, unapplied frames, and banners โ mix and match freely. (Dyes travel with
whatever card they're already on; they can't be offered loose.)
Two-step confirmation, so nobody accepts by accident:
| Step | What it does |
|---|---|
| ๐ Lock | Freezes your side of the offer. You can unlock any time to keep editing. |
| โ Approve | The final go-ahead โ and it stays disabled until both sides have locked, so you can't approve while still building. Both must approve for the trade to happen. |
Any edit to a locked deal clears both approvals, so there's no bait-and-switch. When both approve, the whole exchange runs as one atomic swap โ every card, coin, frame, and banner is re-checked as still available at that exact moment, so a stale offer can never go through half-completed.
Wishlist: track up to 10 characters with /wishlist add โ you get pinged
whenever one of them drops in a server you share with the bot.
Grab cooldown: you can grab a dropped card every 5 minutes โ choose wisely, and remember your claim speed is engraved into the card's Swiftness forever.
๐ช Marketplace
Where /trade is a direct, negotiated swap, the marketplace is the async half:
list a card for a fixed price and walk away โ anyone can buy it whenever.
- Sell โ
/market sell card:CODE price:N [currency], or the "Sell this card" panel on any card's web page. List for Tickets or Stardust, up to 20 active listings at once. - Browse โ
/market browse [rarity] [currency] [max], or the Marketplace page. - Buy & cancel โ
/market buy id:<id>//market cancel//market mine, or the ๐ Buy and โ Cancel buttons right on the website.
Buying is one atomic transaction: your currency out, the seller's in, and the card is yours โ the seller's ownership is re-checked at that instant, so a listing can never sell a card twice. A small 5% fee is burned from every sale to keep the economy from inflating. While a card is listed it can't be traded, burned, battled, or queued for ranked until you cancel โ an applied frame comes back to you on sale, while an applied dye travels with the card.
๐ Card history
Every card carries its full life story โ who minted it, how (pulled, grabbed, or gifted), its exact claim speed, and every trade it's ever been part of. It's an insert-only log, so provenance can't be faked.
See it two ways: /cardinfo code:XXXXXX in Discord for the k!ci-style summary, or click any card
on the website for the full ownership & trade timeline with usernames and dates. Great for
verifying a low-version card really is what a trader claims before you deal.
Zoom out to the whole character with /lookup character:Name (or a character page on the site):
how many have been minted, how many burnt, how many are still in circulation, how many people
wishlist it, the card art for each rarity, and the owner of every version.
๐ Play on the web
Almost everything the bot does works right here in the browser too โ same account, same cards, same
database, instantly in sync. The only things that stay Discord-only are the ones that need a live
channel: automatic activity drops, bought /drops, and /train minigames.
Everything else:
โข Your collection โ every card, frames, banners, dyes, wishlist, wallet, and rendered profile card, all filterable.
โข Wish โ gacha pulls, and claim your /daily, straight from the browser.
โข Any card page โ sell it on the market, repair, upgrade, burn, apply/remove frames & dyes, plus full stats, grades, and history.
โข Marketplace โ browse, buy, and cancel your own listings.
โข Cosmetics โ buy frames & banners and roll dyes; equip banners from your collection.
โข Clans โ found, join, or leave a clan, and see live war-season standings.
โข Battle โ challenge anyone asynchronously: send a challenge, they accept whenever they're free.

โข Ranked โ join the queue and watch matches; Leaderboard โ top collectors and richest players.
Sign in with Discord to get started โ access is your Discord account, nothing else to set up.
๐งช Sandbox (testers)
Admin-flagged testers can enter an isolated test realm with /sandbox on: no cooldowns,
/sandbox pull100 for mass gacha testing, and everything gained is wiped on
/sandbox off โ sandbox progress never touches the real economy (real cards are read-only,
trades and clans are locked, and test mints don't consume real version numbers).
